Toa Nuva-Kal

What if, the Toa Nuva had merged with the Bohrok-Kal instead of destroying them? Presenting the Toa Nuva-Kal

Happy to share this at last! This has been a few months in the making, and uses Galva_'s fantastic Champions mask collection (which you can find here: https://www.reddit.com/r/bioniclelego/comments/na959l/the_champions_mask_pack_4/), an amazing stylistic reimagining of the Toa Mata masks. As mentioned, the idea behind this is that during the final showdown between the Toa Nuva and the Bohrok-Kal when the Toa Nuva used their stolen Nuva Symbols to overload the Bohrok-Kal, instead of making them implode on their own powers they got absorbed by the symbols and subsequently, the Toa themselves, giving the Toa Nuva new forms, new powers, and a new title: the Nuva-Kal.

I had a lot of fun creating this team and imagining all sorts of weapons, personalities, powersets, & fighting styles they would have from merging with the Bohrok-Kal. Designing the shoulders was a little tricky to make because I really wanted to retain the Nuva shoulder pads for familiarity but orient them differently to show change. Their upper arms ended up being a little chunky to make it work, but I think it turned out alright. I also changed their eye colors to be the same as their Bohrok-Kal counterparts.

Some quick bios:

Tahu:
Elements: Fire & Electricity
Tools: Shock Sabers
Tahu's fire now intwined with lightning gives him an edge like never before, to both his fighting ability and temper. Rather than being fancy with his new electrifying element like his fellow toa, Tahu prefers to combine his fire & electricity blasts as one for twice the sizzle. Tahu wields dual shock sabers that channels his fire and lightning powers.

Kopaka:
Elements: Ice & Sonics
Tools: Sonic Spear & Resonance Shield
Silence now has a sound, and Kopaka ain't gonna be quiet about it. His newfound sonic powers can be used in conjunction with his ability to instantaneously create ice projectiles, turning them into explosive icy frag grenades with an audible oomph. And if that's not enough, his various ice-based constructs can be used to resonate and amplify any sound-based attack. Anyone who dares to fight him, better at least bring earplugs. Kopaka now wields a Sonic spear that channels his sound-laced ice powers and a shield that can absorb and reflect kinetic impacts.

Gali:
Elements: Water & Magnetism
Tools: Magnomaces
If the lure of the ocean isn't enough to draw you in, then the magnets pull will do it for you. Gali uses her new magnetic powers in conjunction with her water manipulation for utter control over any aquatic battlefield. Gali wields twin MagnoMaces, which can deliver armor-shattering blows or can attract magnetic material onto the head of the mace for even more devastating impacts.

Lewa:
Tools: Sickle Sabers
Elements: Air & Vacuum
Lewa's ready to take your breath away, and not because how amazing he is (though he'd like you to think that). Lewa's new vacuum powers gives him even more mastery of the air, such as sucking out the air from an area to create an instantaneous implosion. Lewa's Sickle Sabers give him an unpredictable fighting style against opponents, as the non-conformal curved blade edge lets him mix and match techniques as he pleases.

Pohatu:
Elements: Rock & Plasma
Tools: Plasma Propulsors
Pohatu's new form gives him TWO GIANT JET ENGINES ON HIS HANDS. And sure he can use them to blast concentrated plasma streams at enemies, but who cares because he has TWO FRICKIN JET ENGINES ON HIS HANDS. And of course being jet engines, he can point them behind him to propel himself at mach speeds on a whim. Combine that with his mask of speed, Pohatu himself literally becomes a projectile that absolutely obliterates anything he runs into (or runs through rather). I wonder how the fuel efficiency are on those things tho…

Onua:
Elements: Earth & Gravity
Tools: Crush Claws
With his added gravity powers, Onua can move a whole lot more earth at once now, and he's got extra large claws to help out this time . Additionally, his gravity allows Onua to manipulate the earth like never before, turning it into smooth like water or more solid than obsidian.
