Bionicle Legacy

This creation a bit of a giant mix of ideas all coming together at once; this initially started when I came across a blender lava rock tutorial, then it grew to wanting to showcase some Toa builds in the environment I built, then a bunch more things until the final idea of wanting to try and pay homage to Bionicle G3 that Faber keeps teasing. Feature creep, hooray! I had to stop it at some point though, so even though there's a lot I still could have done, I'm happy with how it all turned out.

Some other notes:
- Mask designs are by u/KhingK on reddit
- The overall tone of this piece is inspired by all of Faber's cryptic G3 posts, and I wanted to try and capture the sense of futuristic yet ethereal/eternal that I always got from them. Two specific instances would be the wells of time in the background with the sand/water/particles/whatever rising from the ground into the sky, transforming and blending into the galaxy of stars (though that didn't turn out as cool as I hoped lol), and the ambiguous silhouette in the "O" of the Bionicle logo (taken directly from one of Faber's posts and composited in as a little Easter egg XP).
- Speaking of the Bionicle Logo, many will probably recognize it from Faber's posts. I liked the design so much that I made the full logo myself in Blender for this poster.
